Heartwarming Moments at NCH: A Gift of Love for Children with Disabilities

Service and Fellowship: Where Old Friends Meet

A day filled with heartwarming moments and joyful reunions unfolded at the National Children’s Hospital (NCH). Past presidents of the Rotary Club of Panday Pira Manila and officers of the RC Panday Pira Foundation gathered, their laughter echoing through the halls as they reconnected in the spirit of service.

Generous Hearts: Giving Smiles to Children and Parents

The true focus of the day, however, was on the children with disabilities at NCH. Thanks to a generous donation from the Rotary Club of Panday Pira Foundation to Physicians for Peace Philippines, these children will receive life-changing ankle-foot orthoses, prostheses, and other mobility devices. The smiles on their faces, and the gratitude in their parents’ eyes, were a powerful reminder of the impact we can make together.

Collaboration: Making Lives a Little Better

This heartwarming event was the result of a collaborative effort between the UERM Rehab team, the NCH Rehab team, and our dedicated friends in the Friends In Rotary group. Their tireless work and commitment to improving the lives of these children is truly inspiring. We also extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Ed Peregrino for graciously hosting us at NCH.

Gratitude

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Rotarian Romy Nones and the Friends In Rotary group for their unwavering support of Physicians for Peace. Your generosity allows us to continue our crucial work of providing medical care and training in underserved areas.

This special day was a testament to the power of community, compassion, and collaboration. By working together, we can make a real difference in the lives of children with disabilities, ensuring that their smiles continue to shine bright.
