JUAN M. MONTERO II, MD

Founder

Dr. Juan Montero is a Filipino-American physician and philanthropist, renowned for his dedication to healthcare and community service. He is the founder of the Chesapeake Care Free Clinic and Montero Medical Missions, which provide free medical services to underserved populations both locally and internationally. Additionally, Dr. Montero established Physicians for Peace Philippines, further extending his impact on global healthcare.

TEODORO J. HERBOSA, MD

Former PFPP Chairman

Dr. Teodoro Javier Herbosa, known as Ted Herbosa, is the Secretary of the Department of Health (DOH) of the Philippines, appointed on June 5, 2023. He holds a medical degree from the University of the Philippines and has advanced training in emergency and crisis management from the University of Geneva and Tel Aviv University. Secretary Ted previously served as DOH Undersecretary (2010-2015). He is recognized for his efforts in modernizing public hospitals and improving healthcare accessibility in the Philippines.

President and Chairman of the Board

Dr. Josephine R. Bundoc, also known as Dr. Penny Bundoc, is a renowned Filipino Rehabilitation Medicine practitioner with over 30 years of experience. A dedicated educator, she has taught medical and allied health students for nearly three decades. Dr. Bundoc is recognized for her significant contributions to community-based rehabilitation and assistive technology, notably through the Physicians for Peace Walking Free Program. She is a recipient of the prestigious 2020 Rotary International Excellence Service to Humanity Award and has played a crucial role in developing sustainable financing mechanisms for rehabilitation services in the Philippines.

ROBERT F. LANE

Vice Chairman

Robert F. Lane, a Syracuse, New York native, built his life in the Philippines after studying at Le Moyne College. He holds a BA in History and a degree in International Law from the University of the Philippines. Over 50 years in the country, he has successfully grown Silahis Arts & Artifacts, one of the largest export showrooms in the Philippines. He's also a Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary Commodore, author, and past President of the Rotary Club of Intramuros.

Dr. Dorothy Dy Ching Bing-Agsaoay, a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, is affiliated with the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital.
