Thank you Rotary, RI District 3810 and RC Intramuros for the privilege to continue serving in a manner we know best…..
– Lyne A. Abanilla
Communities we serve varies and it’s not always the case of giving out to the poorest we chose to be our beneficiaries. Some communities are just under resourced but considered for intertwined reasons. Missions we participated like our District 3810’s medical mission last November 23, 2018 held at the Imus National High School has students to consider, not only from their school but included some public schools from other parts in Cavite, from the Centennial Healthcare Mission of District 3810, joined and sponsored by so many rotary clubs in the district led by the Rotary Club of Imus and their Inspiring President Eric Co.
In partnership with the Physicians For Peace who has been our club’s sponsor in so many projects for so many years, the Rotary Club of Intramuros Manila once again delivered the free eyeglasses to the student beneficiaries of Cavite whom were properly refracted by the optometrist with us. More than 200 students were screened but only 108 were diagnosed with the true need of an eyeglass. Those quality glasses from the United States with the customised and graded lenses we provide hopefully, will inspire these students to study more but were advised to care for their eyes 👀 especially in the use of multi media gadgets. Eyeglasses frames with international quality components are only good thou with the right lens you put on them.
We thank our Past District Governor Lyne Alano Abanilla for her endless support to our club where she belongs, to the two optometrists Dr. Maricris and Dr. Janelle of the Physicians For Peace and to our very Inspiring President Annie Gallardo working on projects that brings the Rotary Club of Intramuros Manila a closer step to these under privileged recipients.
