Physicians for Peace Philippines going to another “road less traveled” doing Save the Sight of a Child Program in two public schools, right at the foot of Mt. Arayat in Pampanga. Thank you team!
I met Jennalyn, a grade 1 pupil in Orchard Public Elementary school right at the foot of Mt. Arayat in Pampanga. She is 7 years old and belongs to a family whose vision is either very poor or impaired but no means to have them checked by an Ophthalmologist or an Optometrist. Jennalyn is hi myopic and would sometimes ask her teacher to allow her to sit in front. Upon our visit, we found out she needed eyeglasses and some exercises which our Opto shared to her mother. Hope to visit her again before the year ends and see if her vision improved after our visit. Her teacher made an effort to make sure she gets intervention from us. Thank you Docs Wilma, Let and Sr. Vida for taking care of Jennalyn. Thank you Physicians for Peace Philippines.#physiciansforpeaceph
Nikka is 8 years old , grade 2 at Ayala Public Elementary school at the foot of Mt. Arayat in Pampanga. She was one who has lazy eye among the many students in the school. She got prescription eyeglasses from Physicians for Peace and together with her mother and her teacher, Dr. Let Regodon shared with them some vision therapy exercises . Hope her eyes improve when we go back before the year ends for our follow up work, as part of our Save the Sight of a Child Program.#physiciansforpeaceph
